We get too scared and nervous and anxious and it kills us inside to a point we question whether it’s worth it or not. This ongoing chase to prove that we’re good enough for some person that we’re merely just interested in. The wondering, the overanalyzing, the waiting, the expectations that shouldn’t even be expected at all… and yet with nothing to show for.
So fuck it. Use the force and turn that light green.
Because what good is it knowing that you just sat there doing nothing for something that you truly wanted. Because you have to follow the rules… waiting for the first move or for the first sign that tells you to go.
How can you get homerun without swinging?
How can you get a touchdown without throwing the ball?
How can you make the layup without driving to the basket?
How can you get the knockout without taking a punch?
You just have to do it. Don’t let the lack of knowing keep you from playing at your fullest potential. Keep giving until you have nothing left to give… and if that goes unnoticed… it wasn’t because you were never good enough. You just needed a better opponent.
